Chest and Lung Care for Patients from Pinjore

- Pinjore
Pinjore sits on the Kalka–Panchkula highway, with the Shivalik hills on one side and the old industrial belt on the other. Many families here have lived in the same house for decades, some since the days when HMT was the town's biggest employer. Others have moved into the newer colonies that have come up along the highway.
This page is for Pinjore residents who have a breathing problem that needs a chest specialist. It covers the conditions we see most often from this area, how to reach Dr. Manan Bedi's clinic in Sector 20, Panchkula, and what to bring.
The stretch between Pinjore and Kalka has small and medium industrial units, and stone crushing has long been part of the local economy along the river beds. Highway widening and new construction add their own share of dust. Breathing fine dust for years can cause a long-standing cough, breathlessness, and in some people scarring of the lungs.
If you have worked in a factory, crusher, workshop or on construction sites, tell the doctor what you did and for how long. That history often matters as much as the X-ray. Our pages on COPD and lung fibrosis (ILD) explain these conditions in more detail.
Older women in many Pinjore households cooked on wood or coal for years before LPG came in. That smoke can damage the lungs slowly, even in someone who has never smoked. A cough every morning and breathlessness on climbing stairs are often the first signs, and they are easy to put down to age.
The greenery around Pinjore, including the area around the Yadavindra Gardens and the foothills, is lovely to live near. For people with allergies, though, the spring and post-monsoon pollen seasons can bring sneezing, a blocked nose and a tight chest. See respiratory allergy care and asthma treatment.
A common pattern: a cough starts after a fever, a syrup is bought from the chemist, then another, and three months later the cough is still there. A cough lasting more than three weeks should be examined properly. It may be asthma, an infection, acid reflux, or sometimes TB. See chronic cough and TB treatment.
